The state of Indiana ranks higher than the national average in nearly every substance use disorder (SUD) category. Locally,
SUD continues to impact our community at alarming rates. Things like overdose deaths, emergency room visits, children who are removed from homes. It's not just those using who are impacted, it's everyone around them. Nearly 40,000 people in Bartholomew County reported in the last community health needs assessment that their lives had been impacted by SUD in some way.

Because of the challenges we face locally, Bridge to Dove is stepping up to fill a local gap in the care for women who are struggling with SUD and homelessness.
​
Right now in Bartholomew County we have ZERO facilities dedicated to serving women with the highest recovery needs (NARR Level IV services) and we are working to change that. With this project, we'll bring Dove Recovery House for Women to Columbus.

BUILDING A LEGACY OF HOPE
The service provider we are helping bring to town is a best in class organization. The organization is Dove Recovery House for Women and they have been helping women for over 25 years. Dove House has a proven track record for success, including over 70% of clients staying clean. Dove House also has a better than 80% success rate for reuniting women with their children.
